The Dixie Precast DP-8B is a precast foundation that is commonly used for double mast four bolt crossing gate cantilever applications. The 8B has a standard eight bolt mounting pattern of 19” x 19” at 36” mast centers. The load capacity of the DP-8B will handle double mast crossing cantilevers from 30’ – 44’ in arm length.
Dixie Precast supplies the DP-8B as a sectional foundation for quick and simple assembly in the field. The DP-8B pieces have either lifting inserts or lifting hooks cast in place, which facilitate the easy placement of the foundation pieces. Dixie Precast utilizes the same thread on all of the lifting inserts throughout our product line, so the same lifting eyes can be utilized to set all of our foundations.
The sectional construction of the foundations allows for the maximum weight of each individual piece to be well within the lifting capacity of standard construction equipment. The sectional design also allows for damaged parts, such as the top or the bolts, to be replaced individually without removal of the entire foundation.
