DPS-1A FLASHER FOUNDATION
The Dixie Precast DPS-1A is a precast foundation that is commonly used for flasher or wayside signal applications. The S1 has a standard 9 ½” x 9 ½” bolt spacing, which matches the common mounting for 4” Mast junction box bases. Dixie Precast supplies the DPS-1A foundation pre-assembled, so it arrives at the job site ready to install. The S1 has lifting inserts cast in the top of the foundation, which facilitate the easy placement of the foundation. Dixie Precast utilizes the same thread on all of the lifting inserts throughout our product line, so the same lifting eyes can be utilized to set all of our foundations. The sectional construction of the foundations enables the foundation to be offered in various heights, with the most common supplied at 4’6”. Standard heights are available in 12” reductions or increases. The design of the S1 also allows for replacement of the top and/or bolts due to damage without removal of the entire foundation. The top section is designed to accommodate cable or duct entry into the mast and/or junction box. The Dixie Precast DPS-1A Foundation meets or exceeds current AREMA Standards.
DPS-2A GATE/WAYSIDE SIGNAL FOUNDATION
The Dixie Precast DPS-2A is a precast foundation commonly used for crossing gate mechanisms and wayside signal applications. The S2 has a standard 11 11/16” x 11 11/16” bolt spacing, which matches the common mounting for 5” masts.
Dixie Precast supplies the DPS-2A foundation pre-assembled, so it arrives at the job site ready to install. The S2 has lifting inserts cast into the top of the foundation, facilitating easy placement. Dixie Precast uses the same thread on all lifting inserts across our product line, so the same lifting eyes can be used to set all of our foundations.
The sectional construction of the foundations enables the foundation to be offered in various heights, with the most common supplied at 5’7”. In the event of damage to the top or bolts, the S2 design allows replacement of the damaged parts without removing the entire foundation. TF-2A 4X4 COMMUNICATION TOWER FOUNDATION
The Dixie Precast TF-2A 4X4 is a precast foundation that is commonly used for communication tower applications. The TF-2A has a standard 11 11/16” x 11 11/16” bolt spacing, which matches the common mounting for 5” masts. The foundation can be used with tilt tower or monopole applications. Dixie Precast supplies the TF-2A foundation pre-assembled, so it arrives at the job site ready to install. The foundation has lifting inserts cast into the top section, which facilitate easy placement. Dixie Precast uses the same thread on all lifting inserts across our product line, so the same lifting eyes can be used to set all of our foundations. The TF-2A can also be utilized for solar array mounting, column support, and other applications. DP-4B SINGLE MAST CROSSING CANTILEVER FOUNDATION
The Dixie Precast DP-4B is a precast foundation commonly used for single-mast, four-bolt crossing gate cantilever applications. The 4B has a standard four-bolt mounting pattern of 19” x 19”. DA-10 HELICAL ANCHORS
The Dixie Precast Concrete DA-10 Helical Anchor offers a simple alternative to traditional foundations for communication towers, gate mechanisms, and wayside signal mast applications. The helical foundations are installed in a matter of minutes with auger-type equipment. The Kelly Bar Adapter is placed on the equipment’s kelly bar and attached to the top of the foundation. After securing the foundation to the adapter, the foundation is screwed into the ground. The pilot point and helix of the foundation facilitate quick, easy installation. With a few checks for level during the installation, the process is completed in a fraction of the time when compared to traditional foundations. The simple installation reduces associated labor costs. The foundations are constructed entirely of galvanized steel. The Helical Foundations are offered in 5’, 7’, and 10’ lengths, all with standard 11 11/16” x 11 11/16” bolt spacing. Each foundation is supplied with 1” x 8” bolts, leveling nuts, and associated hardware. Special sizes and applications are also available. RETAINING WALLS
STEEL RETAINING WALL
The Dixie Precast Steel Retaining Wall is the most versatile and easiest to install retaining wall available. The walls are composed of galvanized steel panels that are available in 2’, 4’, and 6’ heights. All panels come in 5’ lengths. Designed for durability and long-term installation, all posts and associated hardware are also made of galvanized steel. Dixie Precast packages the walls with all required installation parts, including anchors, cables, clamps, and related hardware. The steel retaining wall is assembled similarly to a door hinge. Each panel has a hinge portion with interlocking “hinge” pipes on both ends. When assembled, the panels are pinned together by the post. The hinge effect allows the wall to be contoured as required. Recommended installations are applicable in both convex and concave arrangements. To ensure proper retainage and support, all procedures should be followed, including installation of anchors and back supports. Installation heights of over 6’ shall be installed with a tiered approach. Recommended wall separation for tiered applications shall be approximately 2’ – 4’ between wall locations. CONCRETE RETAINING WALL
The Dixie Precast Concrete Retaining Wall provides a durable system made of precast concrete panels and galvanized steel hardware, offering long-lasting durability. Panels are 2’ high by 4’ wide and can be ordered in 4’ increments, with heights of 2’, 4’, or 6’. Dixie Precast supplies all installation parts, including anchors, cables, clamps, and hardware. Configurable in straight sections, or 45° and 90° turns, these walls can be arranged to fit site needs, suitable for convex and concave installations.
